If you are a full time trader, you must have a television in your trading room. The markets move fast and you need up to the minute information as to why they are moving. As a result, it is recommended that you have a television that is tuned into a business channel, like CNBC or Bloomberg, on at all times when the markets are open. Those channels will give current general and company specific news about the major stories of the day. If you find the TV distracting, you should keep the sound off and only turn it on when the make makes a sudden move.
